MusiCares
MusiCares was established by the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, Inc. (NARAS) in 1989 to ensure that music professionals have a place to turn in times of need. Its primary purpose is to focus the resources and attention of the music industry on human service issues which directly impact the health and welfare of the music community. MusiCares can provide emergency financial assistance for shelter, medical assistance, utilities, substance abuse, and HIV/AIDS treatment and other basic needs.
